I have known for a long time about the detrimental effects of microwaved foods on human health. However despite my best efforts to get everyone I know to throw out their microwave the majority of people and even close family of mine think that I am being silly by avoiding food cooked in this way, saying things like ‘it can’t be that bad for you or they wouldn’t let you sell them’. I don’t want to sound too rude but that is one of the most naive statements I have ever heard. Microwave foods are a billion pound industry, do you really think the government want to lose all of this money??

Now I like to deal in facts and upon reading a number of studies on microwaves and their effect on food and your health I believe we can no longer ignore the microwave oven sitting in our kitchens.

Based on this research and the facts, here are my top 10 reasons to throw out your microwave:

1) Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven causes long term – permanent – brain damage by “shorting out” electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].

2) The human body cannot metabolize [break down] the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.

3) Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.

4) The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual [long term, permanent] within the human body.

5) Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds that cannot be broken down.

6) The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.

7) Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths [tumors]. This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer.

8) The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood.

9) Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations.

10) Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.

Have you tossed out your microwave oven yet?

Well, if you are like most people you began the New Year determined to shed those unwanted pounds and get in the shape of your life. However, if you are like most people, you will have already given up on your health and fitness resolutions (or at least put them to one side for the moment.) You know you need to exercise, but maybe you don’t have enough time, you’re too tired or you’re bored with your routine. Whatever your reason, the point is you need to stay motivated if you are going to get anywhere close to the body of your dreams.

So just for you here are 5 easy ways you can stay focused and motivated to fight the fat and make your dream a reality.

1. Set yourself goals and lots of them. The first step towards motivating yourself is having something to work for. Do not just set yourself one goal. You can and should set yourself as many goals as possible and of course WRITE THEM DOWN. Start with your long term goal, whether it be a weight loss or fitness goal and break it down in to as many short term goals as you can. I suggest daily goals to my clients, ensuring they are drinking enough water, getting in at least 30 minutes of exercise a day: highly attainable and achievable goals. As I said earlier, writing them down is the best method to ensure success. Ask yourself at the end of the day: Have I achieved my dream?

2. Make yourself a ‘personal reasons’ list. So you have written down your long term goal and then broken it down into monthly, weekly, and daily goals. Now you need to ask yourself WHY do I want to achieve those goals and WHAT will it mean to me if I do? Initially this may appear simple. Often my clients tend to get 3 or 4 reasons written down. I guarantee you that if you really spend some time to ask yourself this question you could come up with at least 20-30 personal reasons, as to why you would like to get into shape. Keep adding to the list and next time you feel uninspired to work out or make the right choices reacquaint yourself with your personal reasons list: this is a powerful way to re-motivate yourself in minutes.

3. Exercise first thing in the morning. It’s proven that exercising first thing in a morning is even more beneficial for you. It’s also much easier to form a habit if you get up each morning and make it the first thing you do. It doesn’t give you any time to go off the idea as the day goes on. You only need do 30 minutes every morning and there are plenty of exercises that you can do around the home.

4. Train with a friend or get yourself a personal trainer. This is a great way to stay motivated. You are much more likely to exercise consistently this way, and that’s what you should be aiming for. You can both keep one another motivated and it’s great to have someone who knows how to get the best out of you. Losing weight is not about being alone: share this experience with others and the weight is sure to disappear.

5. Measure yourself and take pictures. Forget the weighing scales and get out the measuring tape. Take body measurements including your neck, shoulders, chest, waist, hips, thighs and calves. Jot them down and do this every four weeks. It’s a great feeling to know that you are shrinking, and most importantly where you are shrinking from. It really can encourage you to keep going and do more. Team this with taking regular before & after photographs, and you are destined to improve.

So there you have it, there’s no excuse for not making exercise a part of your daily routine. There will always be those days when its simply impossible and when things crop up disrupting your plans but remember consistency is key. As long as you’re doing some kind of exercise on a weekly basis you are on the right track. Start today with steps 1 and 2 by making a list of your goals and your personal reasons list, take before pictures and you will be well on the way to success with the body you crave in no time.
